Scott Burnett, the owner of Integrity Computer Concepts, has spent years giving Cyber Technology and Internet Safety Seminars. His work with schools, law enforcement and parents gives him a unique perspective on the many issues facing parents today. His 1 1/2-hour parent seminar will share that experience with you. During the seminar you will see first-hand how quickly a child who is online can be tossed into an unsafe situation. At the end of every parent seminar, Scott has a very insightful question and answer session.

LEARN ABOUT:

  • The ever changing media culture that our children face.
  • The benefits of being a tech-savvy parent.
  • How to protect your children in and out of your home.
  • How to monitor your child’s online activities.
  • Setting time limits for your child.
  • Hardware devices to help filter the whole home.
  • Software programs for the Mac and PC
  • Mobile device management.

Technology and the internet are rapidly changing! Come learn about new technologies and review some old ones to help you keep up with your child. Scott will discuss a number of ways to create a media-safe home for your family. This invaluable and informative presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. You will walk away with tools, ideas and plans for protecting your child from the internet and other digital communication devices.
Kids Internet Safety Seminars
These presentations are designed to give you the tools to help your child safely navigate new technologies and the Internet. If your child uses a computer, cell phone, or gaming device with Internet access, here are a few questions you should be asking yourself:

  • Do I monitor my child’s online activities? Email, chat, web surfing are all easily view-able to parents!
  • Should I set time restrictions for my child’s Internet use? You can enforce this electronically.
  • Does my child participate in online gaming or chat and do they communicate with strangers?
  • Do I know my child’s online friends, and everybody in their speed dial?
  • Does my child have a Facebook, MySpace, Instagram, Snapchat, or Club Penguin profile?
  • Do I know what a proxy server is? Your child does.

Technology and the Internet change rapidly! To help you answer these questions and more, please call us for the next informative presentation followed by a question and answer session or for a one on one informative session.
