Scott will discuss a number of ways to create a media-safe home for your family. This invaluable and informative presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. You will walk away with tools, ideas and plans for protecting your child from the internet and other digital communication devices.

These presentations are designed to give you the tools to help your child safely navigate new technologies and the Internet. If your child uses a computer, cell phone, or gaming device with Internet access, here are a few questions you should be asking yourself:

• Do I monitor my child’s online activities? Email, chat, web surfing are all easily view-able to parents!
• Should I set time restrictions for my child’s Internet use? You can enforce this electronically.
• Does my child participate in online gaming or chat and do they communicate with strangers?
• Do I know my child’s online friends, and everybody in their speed dial?
• Does my child have a Facebook, MySpace, Instagram, Snapchat, or Club Penguin profile?
• Do I know what a proxy server is? Your child does.
